The Belkin Soundform Connect connects to any speaker via optical or 3.5mm input, then it turns that speaker into an AirPlay 2 target....

While preorders for the Apple Watch Series 2 went live last Friday from Apple and Best Buy, customers who preordered from the latter of the two options are now receiving emails informing them that their order is delayed. Best Buy this evening sent out emails informing customers of the delay, explaining that the new street date for the Apple Watch Series 2 is September 28th. The email doesn’t specify a reasoning for the delay, though Best Buy places the blame on Apple....

The HomePod has great sound, but because it feature no physical inputs, users are limited to either Apple Music or AirPlay sources. It means that there’s no way to connect a home stereo or other source directly to the HomePod via traditional line-in or Bluetooth. To work around this issue, software architect Andrew Faden hacked together a line-in and Bluetooth input for HomePod called BabelPod. Based around a $10 Raspberry Pi Zero W and a few other essential parts, Faden created a clever workaround that affords both indirect Bluetooth and line-in connectivity for Apple’s recently-launched wireless speaker....
