BGR reports that Best Buy’s internal sales forecast is expecting an iPhone 5 on Sprint with pre-sales beginning the first week in October. Apple today updated its GarageBand for iOS, bringing the app up to version 1.4 and providing support for Audiobus. Originally launched in December 2012, Audiobus is an iOS app available from developer A Tasty Pixel and described as an “inter-app audio routing system.” The app allows users to route audio from a growing list of third-party and Audiobus-compatible synths, drum machines, effects, and audio-editing apps and record them simultaneously in other supported multi-track editing apps....

Producers of the Arrowverse say they haven’t yet ruled out the possibility that the Green Arrow will return at some point after last night’s Arrow series finale. Oliver Queen, aka the Green Arrow, was portrayed by Stephen Amell and was the central protagonist in Arrow’s eight-season run. The classic iOS racing series Asphalt has released a new update to its latest edition Asphalt 9: Legends game, now featuring 60 FPS support for iPhone XS and XS Max. For some reason, the update log mentions “exclusive” support for the coveted frame rate on iPhone XS and XS Max, even though the new iPad Pro features an even more powerful A12X SoC with a more capable GPU. US carrier AT&T today announced efforts to maintain the stability of its network and allow consumers to remain connected ahead of the impacts of Hurricane Sally, which is expected to hit the Gulf Coast on Tuesday. The AU$89 million cybercrime centre forms part of Home Affairs’ national plan to combat cybercrime, which was announced alongside the centre’s launch on Monday morning. The AU$89 million was provided through the AU$1.67 billion in funding for Australia’s cybersecurity strategy by the federal government. Andrews said the national plan and the Australian Federal Police’s (AFP) new cybercrime centre, called Joint Policing Cybercrime Coordination Centre (JPC3), would bring together the experience, powers, capabilities, and intelligence needed to build a strong, multi-faceted response....

The Federal Trade Commission has revealed the details of its settlement with AT&T. The FTC says that AT&T will pay out $60 million to current and former subscribers who were affected by the carrier’s misleading “unlimited data” promises. AT&T and the FTC first reached their settlement back in August, but details of the deal have only been announced today. The FTC initially sued AT&T in 2014 over its deceptive unlimited data claims, saying that the carrier failed to inform customers that they would face throttling after a certain amount of data use....
