Glances appear when you swipe up from the bottom of the Apple Watch. This shows relevant notifications, from both Apple and third-party apps. The watch vibrates when a new notification comes in. Different notifications have different UI’s as well as different buttons. Calendar notifications are presented with a red and white interface, for instance. Apple is using a haptic feedback engine to power subtle buzzes to the phone, to alert you (but not people around you) to new notifications....

Developer Frank Krueger has released a useful new macOS tool for fellow developers today. Dubbed Appstat, the app lives in your Mac’s menu bar and shows you detailed data about the applications you’re selling on the App Store. With the famous detective missing for more than three years, it left Gotham vulnerable for crime to rise once again....

Re/code announced today that Apple VP Greg Joswiak will be attending its inaugural Code/Mobile conference next month to talk about Apple’s new products announced earlier this week including the new iPhone 6 models, the new iOS 8, and the company’s mobile payment system due out next month called Apple Pay.
