We are deep into Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise, with only a handful of episodes remaining before the couples choose to stay together or split up. With that said, we thought it’d be a good time to look at the contestants that are left and decide who deserves to find love in Mexico and who needs to move on.
First off, it’s important to note that we want everyone from the show to find love in real life. Here, we’re simply picking who we think deserves a shot in terms of this season of the show. Second of all, there will be spoilers through Episode 10, which premiered on Sept. 3. Everything that comes after that (even though there is a ton of info out there on who did and didn’t get engaged) will not be discussed. Next, in this ranking, we will only be discussing the contestants who are still on the show as of the previous episode. Of course we want Mike to find love, but being that he already left, he won’t be considered in this ranking.
And finally, please don’t take this too seriously. This is all for fun, and if some of the people on our leave-the-show list do end up with their person at the end, we wish them the best! With that said, here are the people on Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 that we hope find love in paradise and the contestants we think should leave.
LOVE: Sydney
Sydney has had a rough road this season. The 27-year-old fitness instructor from Colton’s season arrived Week 1 ready to find love… and we’re still waiting on that to happen.
While some contestants have been major drama causers, Sydney has coolly stuck it out in the background. It also took her a long time to get an actual date, but finally, she went out with Matt Donald and had some sparks flying.
Unfortunately, Sydney and Matt’s kiss was awkward, and we don’t see anything longterm developing out of their feelings. While it’s unlikely any major relationship is about to form between the couple, especially with Bri sweeping in, we believe Sydney is long overdue a solid romance.
LEAVE: Matt Donald
On that note, yes, Matt Donald needs to pack his bags. Of course, he seems (and probably is) sweet, but he entered the competition late, so finding a longterm love on Paradise is highly unlikely.
As aforementioned, he and Sydney tried to find a connection as well as he and Bri. The problem? He just doesn’t seem serious enough, but that’s not entirely his fault.
LOVE: Connor
While we don’t know what happens in the Caelynn-Dean-Connor love triangle just yet, our gut feeling says that Caelynn will end up with Dean.
If this does happen, Connor is sure to be heartbroken. His Bachelor in Paradise self has always seemed nice, and so it’ll suck to watch his girlfriend get swept away from him so quickly. Though we don’t see him developing a new relationship so late in the season, we do believe he deserves love and wouldn’t complain if something quickly formed.
LEAVE: Nicole
Maybe you’re screaming at your screen, saying, “What? But Nicole is with Clay!”
Yes — that’s exactly the problem.
It’s not that we don’t want Nicole to find love. We do. It’s just that, of all the serious couples, Nicole and Clay’s relationship has felt the rockiest. Sometimes Clay seems really into his ex and sometimes he seems more into Nicole. It makes us think that the Clay-Nicole relationship would flourish much better outside of the Paradise bubble. While we don’t know how their love story will end (or begin), we do know that it’s been one rough road to get where they are now.
LOVE: Tayshia
Tayshia is another contestant who has had an interesting Paradise journey. John Paul Jones made his interest in her clear early on, but after Demi and Derek broke up, Derek swept in to make a move of his own. Having always been interested in Derek, Tayshia was receptive — however, she ultimately broke things off with Derek when she realized she just couldn’t get there. He sent himself home soon after.
Tayshia has dealt with a lot of unnecessary drama, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that she ends up happy.
LEAVE: Blake
Ah, Blake. There is so much that could be said about you.
Let’s start with the fact that, unarguably, he’s had a rough season. Having come into Paradise with many pre-show flings following him around, it’s been hard for Blake to develop serious relationships. He also tried to gain the affections of Hannah early on, but she ultimately decided to pursue Dylan.
For the past several weeks, we’ve seen a sad and lonely Blake lounging around the beach. He finally decided to pursue something with Kristina, though we get the feeling this wouldn’t have happened had he had other options. He seems kind of desperate at this point, and for that reason, we think he’d have more luck dating outside of the Bachelor bubble.
LOVE: Chris
Remember when Chris retired from the Bachelor franchise? Ah, what a distant memory that is.
Chris first showed up on The Bachelorette Season 8, followed by Bachelor Pad Season 3, The Bachelorette Season 10, and Bachelor in Paradise Seasons 1 and 2. All this goes to say, we really hope he finally finds love, and with he and Katie hitting things off, we’re pretty hopeful. While we don’t know what will happen after Bachelor in Paradise ends, we do know that some promos hint that the couple could have a happy ending in store.
LEAVE: Kristina
Kristina is another one of those contestants who has had a difficult Bachelor journey. The 27-year-old dental hygienist first appeared on Nick’s season of The Bachelor, then Bachelor in Paradise Season 4, and finally Bachelor in Paradise Season 6. Unfortunately, the sparks just haven’t been flying for her.
She and Blake exchanged friendship roses throughout most of the season until the pair finally decided to see if they could develop a romance. It just doesn’t seem likely at this point, and for that reason, we think she’d have more luck in a relationship outside of the show.
LOVE: Dylan
Right now, Dylan and Hannah are in a serious relationship, and previews show them exchanging “I-love-yous” with each other. Chances are, they will end up together. However, if last season taught you anything, it’s that strong relationships sometimes end as Bachelor in Paradise ends.
As you might also remember, the two couples (Kendall Long and Joe Amabile, Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt), shockingly split at the end of Season 5 but ended up getting back together post-filming. All this goes to stay, it looks like Dylan and Hannah will finish this thing together, we just don’t know how. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that their transition off the show is much smoother.
LEAVE: Angela
Like everyone else, we want Angela to find love. That being said, with her ex still on the show, Bachelor in Paradise seems like a difficult place to do it.
Angela has continually brought up that she has just as much of the right to find love on Bachelor in Paradise as Clay does. She does have that right, and we’re proud of herself for putting herself out there. That being said, just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.
Having walked on to the beach during Week 4, we don’t think Angela will have enough time to develop a meaningful connection before the show comes to a close. Keep in mind, though we have multiple weeks of Paradise to watch, filming takes place in a much more condensed time period. Trust us when we say, though, that we’ll be the first ones rooting for her post-Paradise love story.
