In addition to opening pre-order sales for the upcoming Apple Watch and launching the new 12-inch Retina MacBook, Apple has refreshed its Beats Solo2 wireless headphone lineup with three new color options: gold, silver, and space gray to match your iPhone, iPad, new MacBook, or Apple Watch…

The new Apple-approved finishes join the previously available black, white, red and blue Solo2 versions that launched last fall after Apple bought the headphone maker for $3 billion. At the time, the wireless version of the Solo2 lineup marked the first new product from Beats since Apple finalized the acquisition, although the refresh was an iteration to an existing product rather than something completely new from Apple’s Beats.

Beats Solo2 wireless headphones carry a $299 price tag, a $100 premium for Bluetooth connectivity over the wired Solo2 on-ear headphones at $199. For the extra expense, you gain the ability to playback audio wirelessly over Bluetooth. Bluetooth headphones are required for audio playback from the Apple Watch, which features 8GB of local storage with up to 2GB for storing music locally for playing when your iPhone isn’t around.

Bluetooth connectivity allows audio playback including music within 30 feet range of your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, or other Bluetooth-connected device with a built-in rechargeable battery rated for 12-hours of continuous use. Beats Solo2 wireless headphones in gold, silver, and space gray are available from Apple starting today for $299.
