Usernames and passwords have been used for authentication since the dawn of computing. Apple has introduced many ways to facilitate the usage of strong passwords for authentication by including biometric authentication like Face ID and Touch ID with its products. Now, Apple is working on expanding Apple Watch authentication beyond simply unlocking your Mac with macOS 10.15. Currently, there are some Macs with Touch ID, specifically the MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar and the latest MacBook Air....

Apple’s second store in South Korea will celebrate its grand opening on February 26 at 10:00 a.m. The store was first announced last November on Apple’s website as coming soon. Apple Yeouido is located on L1 of IFC Mall Seoul. You can learn more about the store and see it in context with Apple Garosugil, South Korea’s first Apple Store, in our previous coverage. After Apple announced its imminent opening in Yeouido last November, South Korea saw an unprecedented spike in new COVID-19 cases, which may have contributed to the significant delay between announcement and opening....

Tobias Funke is one of the funniest characters on Arrested Development, and like most of the characters on that show, his hilarity is completely unintentional. Tobias is a very oblivious person. He thinks he is an actor despite never getting any parts. He thinks he has a successful marriage despite him and his wife not getting along. But Tobias’ biggest oversights are his choice of words. Tobias has a habit of phrasing things in the worst possible way, making everything he says sound vulgar and hinting at his own homosexuality which he consistently denies....

Arrested Development is one of the funniest shows ever put on the air, and a big part of that hilarity is its abundance of running jokes. In the aftermath of Crisis on Infinite Earths, CW shows like The Flash are relying too heavily on reinventing old Arrowverse villains instead of focusing on brand new ones. The five-part crossover event was a big deal for the Arrowverse, as it put all the Arrowverse shows — which now includes Black Lightning — on one Earth. Unfortunately, post-Crisis, these shows are too-often bringing back familiar faces instead of introducing new ones....

With most museums and art galleries now closed, ART Museum – or Augmented Reality Art Museum – lets you hang AR versions of paintings on the walls of your home … The app is currently limited to paintings from six museums, but this includes famous (and arguably topical) ones like The Scream by Edward Munch, and the developer is working on signing up other museums and galleries. “In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the widespread closures of museums across the world, the necessity of creating an alternative, remote way to experience art and culture has never been greater,” said Brendan Ciecko, CEO & Founder of Cuseum....

The Reddit user claimed that their first-generation August Doorbell Camera appeared in the Home app on iOS without any action on their part. While the Doorbell Cam appeared like normal HomeKit cameras, it lacked features such as live view and two-way audio. Still, this led many to speculate that HomeKit support was imminent. In a statement this weekend, however, August is refuting the Reddit post and says that integration seen by the user is due to the popular third-party HomeKit platform called Homebridge....

Brian Braddock aka Captain Britain may have been introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Endgame. Marvel Studios just wrapped up a story that was 22 movies in the making and did so in some definitive ways; Iron Man died to save the universe and Captain America grew old with Peggy Carter after returning the Infinity Stones to the past. The latter pays off an arc that many fans wanted to see, but also gave the two an actual encounter after Cap sees her in 1970 during one of the time travel missions....

Marvel comics writer Dan Slott didn’t like Spider-Man activating Instant Kill and using it against the Outriders in Avengers: Endgame. The prolific writer currently works on Tony Stark: Iron Man and Fantastic Four in print, but he’s best known for his long run on The Amazing Spider-Man. No wonder he has strong opinions about how the web-slinging hero played by Tom Holland on the big screen is handled by the MCU....

Belkin, which also controls the brands Linksys, Wemo, and Phyn, is debuting a new series of accessories and connected home products at CES 2019. This year’s lineup is the first shown off since Belkin’s merger with Apple supplier Foxconn in 2018. First from Belkin is a new set of Lightning connector-equipped headphones called ROCKSTAR. The MFi certified earbuds have silicone ear tips and are sweat and water resistant. The Lightning model will be available in summer, and a USB-C version is coming later this year....

Apple Watch Nike+ Series 3 models are now available to order from Apple and Best Buy. While the LTE version is shipping in roughly 3-4 weeks, some Apple Stores have stock today. The Nike+ model without LTE looks to be a bit easier to come by… Earlier this week, Nike released an update to its Nike+ Run Club app bringing a variety of improvements. Among the new features are audio guided runs, a new “Cheers from friends” option, and elevation support for Apple Watch only runs....

A rather speculative KGI note suggests that Apple’s focus on augmented reality (AR) instead of virtual reality (VR) will give the company a 3-5 year lead on the rest of the industry when it launches its first products. The report also suggests that Apple could use augmented reality as part of an autonomous driving system. KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo doesn’t, though, expect Apple to launch its first AR product any time soon …...
