Avengers: Endgame finally settled the conflict between Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) from Captain America: Civil War. As part of the set-up for the events of Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel, Marvel Studios broke up Earth’s Mightiest Heroes over the ideological differences of the team’s two leaders with regard to the Sokovia Accords which would’ve put them under the jurisdiction of the United Nations....

Barclays is out today with a fresh report with that covers consumer smartphone upgrade intention, iPhone interest, a new projection for iPhone average selling price, and more. Today’s news from analyst Mark Moskowitz and company shares that in a survey of about 1,000 consumers (from the US, UK, China, and Germany), 62% say they will upgrade their smartphone in the next year, while 72% plan on doing so in the next 18 months....

These days, any superhero story that deals with serious, mature, or grim content is likely to be viewed as “too dark” (with Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman often used as the prime example). But stray too far in the lighthearted or fantastical direction, and you run the risk of delivering a superhero movie perfect children, lacking the kind of serious older viewers may actually want to see. The Environmental Law Institute has today announced that Apple’s VP of environment, policy and social initiatives, Lisa Jackson, has won its distinguished 2018 Environmental Achievement Award. In a press release, ELI shared that the award was “in recognition of her visionary leadership and outstanding environmental stewardship over a most distinguished career.” Before starting her current role at Apple in 2013, Jackson was an administrator at the EPA and dealt with events such as the Deepwater Horizon oil spill....

Apple unveiled its 2018 iPhone and Apple Watch lineup yesterday at Steve Jobs Theater, and preorders for the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 are slated to begin at 12:01AM PT tonight. What do you plan on ordering tonight? The Apple Watch Series 4 includes a handful of new features and changes, perhaps most notably of which is a 30 percent larger display. The device also offers new health features, a thinner body, a new Digital Crown, and much more....

Following the try-on appointments that allowed 15 minutes hands-on time with an Apple Watch (or an hour for the Edition), Apple is offering Apple Watch Basics workshops at selected retail stores. Appointments can be booked now, and the earliest workshops take place on the official (or perhaps now unofficial) launch date of 24th April. It’s unlikely many people will have received their Apple Watch by this date, and you won’t be able to buy one in-store before June, but if the tutorial videos or unofficial cheat-sheet still leave you wanting more, the workshops seem a good opportunity to get to grips with the new device … So far, the stores offering the workshop appear fairly random, and there’s no obvious way to find out which stores offer them other than trial-and-error....

The Arrowverse may no longer have Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), but his legacy on Arrow lives on, primarily through his two children, Mia (Kat McNamara) and William (Ben Lewis.) With William being Oliver’s first kid, the character had an interesting run as he began as a bit of a surprise to not just viewers, but the Green Arrow himself. William had an incredible journey, both during his teenage and grown-up years, putting this character in a slightly different position from Mia as her present version is still a baby....

Revealed today, the new HomeKit-enabled August Smart Lock is an upgraded version of the Bluetooth-connected door lock that first launched last year.
