At its event, Apple has finally announced availability information for the Apple Watch. All three models will be available in Apple Stores from the 10th of April. You can preorder any of the watch-band combinations in the collections from the 24th. The Apple Watch will initially roll out to the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan. Apple Watch Sport will start from $349 for 38mm and $399 for 42mm, the mid-range stainless steel version will start from $549 for 38mm and $599 for 42mm, and the elusive solid gold Edition casing will run at least $10,000....

AT&T bought a chunk of 700 MHz B band spectrum from Verizon on Friday for $1.9 billion in cash to advance its 4G LTE deployment in the United States. The US is considering banning TikTok and other Chinese social media apps. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News that the White House is ‘looking at’ the possibility. Pompeo said that the US has already acted to protect its telecoms infrastructure, and wanted to make the right decision when it came to smartphones … CNBC reports. Washington, D.C.’s historic Carnegie Library has a new lease on life. Following painstaking months of restoration and renovation, Apple and the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. will reopen the building’s doors on May 11th at 10:00 A.M. The restored library will house Apple’s second store in D.C. as well as the Kiplinger Research Library and historical society exhibit space. New update on 1 July 2020: Users are now reporting the Asus ZenFone 5Z camera focus issue only comes into play when capturing objects or scenery in the distance. It works as expected when taking pictures of close-up objects. Several users have shared images captured from the Asus ZenFone 5Z. In most images, objects closer to the camera seem to appear in focus. Therefore, a software bug is most likely preventing the camera from focusing on objects far from the camera....

AT&T previously announced half of the 12 cities that will be getting 5G mobile service before the end of 2018. Now, the company’s CEO has shared that it will be the first US carrier to offer standards-based 5G by launching the service “in the next few weeks.” Spotted by Phone Scoop (via The Verge), AT&T CEO John Donovan shared the news in the company’s earnings call today. Donovan made the distinction about it being a 3GPP standards-based 5G mobile rollout for AT&T as Verizon launched its 5G home internet service earlier this month, but it’s not a quite a true 5G service....
