After debuting its contemporary store design in Australia at Chadstone last November, Apple is preparing another significant retail expansion for this coming Saturday, September 29th. Apple Robina will become the second store in Australia to relocate to a brand new space. According to Apple, Robina Town Centre’s new store will be located in a different space at the same mall and open on September 29th at 9:00 A.M. There’s bad news for anyone who uses a proxy service to access Netflix content from outside their own country: the company says in a blog post that it will be blocking proxies within the “coming weeks” … Outdated licensing agreements with content owners – still based on the old days of selling content to local TV networks – mean that Netflix offers access to different TV shows in different countries. Many Netflix users use a proxy app like VPN Unlimited to spoof the location of their device, especially to gain access to the huge U....

Barclays has released its latest analyst report. The analysts, who have a mixed track record of accuracy, indicate continued iPhone 8 and iPhone X ‘weakness’ is being partly offset by continued sales of iPhone 7. Most interestingly, the report says to expect new AirPods in early 2019 with noise cancelling features. Due to the small form factor of AirPod earbuds, noise cancelling is very unlikely to rival bigger cans with active noise cancellation like the Beats Studio 3....

FXX delivers the first trailer for Archer: 1999, the latest re-imagining of the long-running animated series from creator Adam Reed. A new patent awarded to Apple today suggests that the company’s audio plans for future iPhones may go beyond reportedly ditching the 3.5mm headphone socket in favor of Lightning and Bluetooth. The patent is very densely-worded, but seemingly describes a method of getting higher-quality and higher-volume audio from speakers built into slimmer devices. Apple’s statement of the problem is clear enough. The language describing Apple’s proposed solution is less clear, but from a combination of this and the accompanying diagrams, I at least have a working theory of what is being suggested …...

Rocket, who is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, is an intelligent anthropomorphic raccoon from the planet Halfworld. He is the result of a science experiment that genetically manipulated an animal to give it human intelligence and a bipedal body. He eventually met up with Star-Lord and joined him as one of the Guardians of the Galaxy....
